Science and Perspective – what we can know, what we can find out, what we can come to understand – science and research are the vital links in the chain of knowledge and understanding, and of advancing new technologies and societal paradigms of change – we research, we read, we explore, and we debate to discover new things and new meaning, to understand our past, and to chart our future. Communities for Clean Ports and our parent EndOil endeavor to stand on science and learned, experienced perspective with a global, humanistic, and socially and economically equal perspective. We endeavor to execute our mission in a way that is not driven by any systemic special interest. And although it is impossible to stand for something without some measure of bias or agenda – we can sleep at night knowing that ours defers to the well-being of our planet, the survival and well-being of humankind and of our integrity as people. Our bias, if anything, stands on our collective ability to work for, to hope for, and to plan for an extraordinary, pollution-free, sustainable, and equitable new energy future, and to have faith that together we will build new infrastructure systems that reflect our new values of equity, stewardship, and environmental and economic harmony. Below are the science and perspective which informs us and guides us. Check back often as things change rapidly. |
